Running a business can be a challenge but running your business well and successfully can be incredibly rewarding. I should know I have been helping firms be financial successfully for over 10 years. My experience as a financial analyst has exposure me not only every industry out there but just about every phase of a company's life cycle from start-up to expansions in M&A ventures to valuations for succession plans.
I have created full FP&A departments, implementing the latest IT tools in the industry, raised $15M in new capital for expansion, and implemented cost control procedures resulting in significant savings. These kinds of steps have helped me achieve great efficiencies in all my analytical work and give real-time insight into what is happening in the business.
The first years of my career began in corporate America as an analyst. These years taught me the fundamentals of finance and how important good analytics are in the success of a company. In this role, I created key reporting packages, which help save days in current workload and allow vendors to get the most accurate data on sales and inventory. As well as working in the start-up environment I gained experience in raising capital, creating a data warehouse, and meeting the needs of a growing sales team. In this role, I help raise over a 1mil in financing, created reporting to monitor bank covenants, and found cost savings of $50K.
It was soon after this experience I decided to consult. To bring my knowledge of business and finance to all types of business from small start-ups to large corporations. I work with firms looking to gain insight into their business. I have created P&L reports, forecasting models, and much more to show where costs are going and where revenue can be gained. Other types of projects have been to create reporting to view the daily business activity, valuations to sell a firm, and data mining and validation. I received my bachelor's in finance from Georgia State University and my master's in finance from Tulane University in New Orleans
